About Us

Chelse Dungee

Chelse is from a little town in Washington, Pennsylvania. She started taking interest in painting when she was a young child, as art was always around her. Throughout her school years, she surrounded herself with as many art electives as she could to keep her creative mind occupied, but nothing caught her attention as much as painting. Later in her life, she made a difficult decision to go to school and enter the business world. With less free time on her hands, she no longer had time for her true love of art. After about 5 years in the business field, life took her in a new direction which was far from easy and very unexpected. With her journey swaying her away from the business field, she found that she had a little extra time on her hands, so she took full advantage. She picked up a paintbrush again and she was brought back to her true calling.  Her happiness came back as she got to be creative again after so many years. It took her a little while to get back in the swing of things trying to learn new styles and different techniques. After about a year of studying various artists and watching demonstrations, she further expanded her knowledge and improved in her art. That is when her love and confidence for painting came back. After selling a few pieces of her personal work and getting great feedback, she knew that painting is the direction she needed to go.

She chose the medium of acrylic painting as she says, "there is nothing like picking up a paintbrush, mixing colors and being able to pour your soul onto the canvas." It relieves stress that life may bring and after every piece she completes, she gets more confident that she can conquer anything. Her main focuses are animals and landscapes but may go outside of the box if she feels strongly about a new creative idea.

For her future plans, she hopes that she can have her art reach out to her audience and fill many individuals' homes one painting at a time.

Shayleen Dungee

Shayleen was born and raised in Washington, Pennsylvania. When Shayleen started school, her favorite class was art. It was the class she enjoyed the most and the one subject where she found herself excelling the most.

Entering high school and having to think about her future, you would think the career path she decided to take would be obvious. But, at this time in her life, it wasn’t as clear. In fact, when she took her first college tour, she was looking into a medical career.

She quickly realized that this wasn’t the path she wanted to take. Fortunately, Shayleen had an outstanding teacher in her life who she looked up to as a role model. This teacher taught her the fundamental skills of graphic design, and that was the start of it all.

As high school was quickly coming to an end, the pressure of which career path to take became more daunting and unbearable. Still uncertain about her future during her senior year, her design teacher nudged her to visit Bradford School of Business.

Ultimately, this became the college Shayleen decided to attend, and the place where she grew and evolved into the designer she is today. Experimenting with different design styles and learning new techniques, Shayleen started to develop the unique, signature style that you see in her work today.

Shayleen’s one-of-a-kind approach allows her to create bold, eye-catching works of art. She uses Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create most of her pieces, but she also finds herself exploring other programs, such as Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Premiere. Shayleen is constantly expanding her toolset and finding innovative ways to think. In fact, Shayleen’s favorite way of finding inspiration is in life itself, for art is a reflection of life.
